Here’s some boring (snooze) but important information for you (probably not) and your parents (maybe so):
This privacy policy applies to the website www.kathleenduble.com. Please note that I will NEVER, EVER give anyone your email address – even on pain of death!!! I am fully committed to your safety and protection.
Remember to always be smart about being online. Do not give out your full name, email address, home address, telephone number or any other personal information.
However, sometimes I may ask you for your first name and email address along with your parents email address so that I can contact your parents to let them know you have communicated with me.
INFORMATION THAT IS GATHERED FROM MY VISITORS:
As with most websites, log files are stored on my web server. Log files collect information such as your IP address, browser type, referring page and time of visit.
Cookies may be used to remember your preferences when interacting with my website.
When you sign up to be a part of my mailing list, your email and username will be stored on my server. Should you decide to opt out of these emails, please click on the opt out button at the end of the last email sent to you.
HOW YOUR INFORMATION IS USED:
Your information will not be sold, rented, or leased to 3rd parties.
Information may be sent to you regarding news of my upcoming events, new books or contests I may sponsor.

If you have signed up for my email list, you may unsubscribe at any time by following the instructions at the bottom of my email to you.
You may be able to block cookies via your browser settings, but this may prevent you from access to certain features of my website.
PARENTAL CONSENT:
I will not collect personal information (first and last name, email address, age home address and phone number,) on any child under the age of 13 without first obtaining parental consent via email. The exceptions to this are: 1) responding to a child on a one-time basis to a child’s specific request 2) obtaining parental consent to provide parents with notice of further contact 3) collecting emails for purposes of notifying you and/or your child of upcoming events, new books or contests I may sponsor or 4) complying with legal requirements
When I provide parent’s with legal notice and/or seek consent, parents are welcome to request to review or have deleted their child’s personally identifiable information from my records and refuse to permit further use of a child’s personally identifiable information by emailing me for a my address and then sending me a letter to confirm.
